Location: /New York/Things To Do/Markets/Union Square Greenmarket
Greenmarkets are all over Manhattan in different locations promoting local farmers and offering fresh, tasty produce. From cheese, fish or local honey you will find something that will tickle your tastbuds. There are art and craft stands so you can get some cool original pieces of work done by the locals aswell as fruit and veg and flowers.
They are also just nice to walk around and get to chat to the sellers on the stands. You will find that many of them are on year round but some are seasonal so make sure you check out the details for each individual market.
I recommend the Union Square Greenmarket for the organic cookies! Try the Breezy Hill Orchard vegan carrot raison cookie for $2.75 and then the Hawthorn Valley Farm Vegan Chocolate Chip and Walnut Cookie for $1.50...trust me, they're yummy!!
